I'm in a little bit of F the World mode today. I don't want to go into too much detail, but suffice it to say I am not in a good mood based on stuff happening at work (not the job itself, but other things...the Packer game isn't helping either). So, while we're at the half, I want to talk about good angry music. I like to listen to either really aggressive rock or hardcore hip-hop. Angry lyrics, hard beats, shredding guitar, that's what I want when I am upset. Some examples:
"Trife Life" by Mobb Deep
"Killing in the Name Of" by Rage Against the Machine
"Downfall" by Atomic Number 9 (defunct band from Milwaukee)
"Channeling Elements" by Candiria (really any hardcore music works)
My question to you: What do you listen to for music therapy when you are mad, angry, pissed off, whatever? I have more, I am just paying attention to the game and blogging, so good angry tunes are not coming to me. I will post some in the comments if I think of any...
Oh, bonus points to whoever can tell me about "Anger in the Nation."

I don't know if it's a boy thing or not, but music doesn't help fuel my anger. Wish I could help! Music is uplifting! Although...I sort of like to jerk to something like the Beastie Boys circa 1991 when I'm feeling aggressive. But it mostly helps me take it to some positive place.
Hmm...Karma for rooting againt the Vikings last weekend...? Ooooh ouch! I didn't want to say it but OH... Too bad they lost against this weekend..oh wait - they didn't lose, did they?!
That's right, I went there.
Hope you feel better...hours later!
I'll put on music when I'm angry, but I usually choose something that will make me feel better. Typically, that would be Sinatra or Motown.
Although I have started a new practice at work - my boss has a massive record collection that is networked and we all have access to it on our computers through iTunes, and I often start my work day with "TNT" from AC/DC. Or if the coffee hasn't kicked in yet, it might be "On the Way Home" by Buffalo Springfield.
By the way, nice shot, Amanda.
Mark, you should know better than to encourage Vikings fans. Frankly, I am ashamed of you.
Amanda, there is no such thing as bad karma when it comes to rooting against the Vikings. Given their history, there is a good argument that there is a lot more bad karma associated with rooting for the Vikings.
No wonder you need to play that angry music, dude. The way our boys played night, ridicule is in order, even if it comes from a fan of the hated Purple.
I will say this -- your point about the Vikings and karma is spot on. The Vikings must have done something really evil at some point because they've got bad karma coming out the wazoo. I blame Ed Sharockman.
here's hoping the viking bad karma continues this weekend.
The usual suspects are always good. Slayer, Maiden, Pantera, Zombie(White or Rob, same thing), Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, Korn, Limp Bizkit, the Deftones, and you have mentioned Rage already. NWA, Public Enemy, but for me most Rap does not get me to want to start a riot as much as most hard rock, metal, and punk seem to do. I named many bands that have most of their tunes hard and fast so that it would be easy to just pick anything by them to be safe. If you would just like some songs for that there is always "Get in the ring" by you know who and "Smack my b**** up" by Prodigy.
Mark,
I agree with listening to something that will help in the mellowing process.
Gino,
I hope the Bears win too.
Amanda,
Mike is correct in his superior and vast knowledge of that team, their fans, their history, and the truth when it comes to anything surrounding or dealing with them.
The Vikings must have done something really bad to generate all the bad Karma it must have taken to beat the Packers a couple weeks ago.
I make no apologies or false claims attributed to the famous flightiness of Vikings fans!
Amanda, I am glad that you figured out to be happy about that most recent Vikings win over the Pack. It had been a couple of years since that happened, so I would understand if you had forgotten how that felt. ;)
Prailbird - Great additions! You may come in handy next February when I make a list of anti-love songs for Valentine's Day.
